DESCRIPTION

This macro takes a length for the number of characters needed and returns storage for them. It is defined by:
  #define  STR_REALLOC(p, n)  (short*)kjb_realloc(p, (Malloc_size)(n))

NOTE n is cast to Malloc_size is almost always size_t.
