DESCRIPTION

This routine reads a matrix vector from the stream pointed to by fp. If the stream is not a file (for example a pipe), then this routine will fail. Several read strategies are tried until one succeeds. The first strategy is to assume that the matrix is in raw, binary format (see fp_read_raw_matrix_vector(3)). If that fails, then it is assumed that the file has a header file (see fp_read_matrix_vector_with_header(3)). The matrix *result_mvpp is created or resized as necessary.

RETURNS

Either NO_ERROR, or ERROR, with an appropriate error message being set.
