kjb_memcmp - Compares two regions of memory Byte-wise

DESCRIPTION

kjb_memcmp is similar to the system supplied routine memcmp, except that the return values are limited to EQUAL_STRINGS (0), FIRST_STRING_GREATER (1), SECOND_STRING_GREATER (-1).

RETURNS

EQUAL_STRINGS (0) if the strings compare equal FIRST_STRING_GREATER (0) if the first string is greater SECOND_STRING_GREATER (-1) if the second string is greater

NOTE

System supplied "mem" routines are normally advertised to be efficient. This routine may or may NOT be implemented using these routines. In the later case, no claims to efficiency are made.
