int kjb_pthread_attr_init(kjb_pthread_attr_t *attr_p);

DESCRIPTION

This initializes an attribute object for a thread. Such attributes are used to control the behavior of new threads. On some platforms, attribute intialization requires a memory allocation, but on other platforms not so. Thus this call could fail; the object should be destroyed when it is no longer needed; and absent an intervening destruction, this function should not be called twice on the same object. C++ developers: consider using class kjb::pthread_attr instead. LOCK STATUS: no, this does not block

RETURNS

ERROR if the initialization fails, with a message. Otherwise NO_ERROR.
