p_stderr - Writes a formatted string to stderr.

DESCRIPTION

The formating options are similar to the standard ones, except that the standard ones are not very standard! Thus the KJB library routine provides some semblence of platform independent IO. Also, there are additional formatting options available (see kjb_fprintf for details). This routine works together with the rest of the KJB library to implement paging and flushing of all files when stderr is written to. This function is not re-entrant (i.e., not thread-safe).

RETURNS

ERROR on failure and the number of characters printed on success.

NOTES

This routine used to called "pse" in analogy with "pso", but it was found to be too easy to type the wrong one. Hence the less usual case was changed to a more obtuse name.
