plot_open - Returns an integer handle for a plot

int plot_open(void);

DESCRIPTION

This routine opens a 2D plot. It is necessary before any plotting can be done. Most routines require a plot handle as an argument. It provides an integeger handle that is used to modify the plot. Plots should be dispossed of by plot_close().

RETURNS

The plot handle non-negative, or ERROR (negative).
